Here are our Creation Poems.

Before the class began their poems we discussed ideas relating to content:  

1. different elements in the natural world, 
2. opposites and 
3. descriptions.

We brainstormed examples of animal life, plant life, the inanimate.
We discussed the intricate mechanics of biological functions.
We thought about space - the solar system, planets, stars.

We spoke about opposites: 
dark / light   large / small   land / sea   mountains / valleys

The discussion moved on to adjectives:
enormous/tiny   radiant/dim   Magnificent/modest   violent/gentle   LOUD/quiet   near / far   

Then we started writing...
